6 Photo Shoots... On Vacation!
-Part 1

I vacation every year in Michigan- it's gorgeous here by the way- I always end up doing some kind of photography. But let's be honest, it's because I have a passion for it and I don't know if I'd be able to NOT do some kind of photography. 

It is always my delight to photograph my family! Which is exactly what I've gotten to do on this vacation plus an extra unexpected shoot.

Here's a look at a few of the shoots from Michigan 2013.

We were on an hour and a half boat ride to Pentwater, Michigan, a beautiful little town right next to the water!

These Birch trees have been here for as long as I can remember. My Mama and Daddy used to take family pictures here with all 7 of us kids.

Photo Shoot

All over the property where I live there are little places where my photographic mind can run wild. One such place is at our barn.

 It's perfect for photo shoots!

And with the addition of my sister-in-law's Christmas wreath, the barn looks Christmasy and festive. :)

Fall Photo Shoot

     My favorite time of year to do photo shoots is Fall! No matter the weather it will still be a beautiful shoot. If it’s blue skies and sunny, the contrast of the colors will be spectacular. If it’s grey and rainy, the colors will be enhanced by the contrast with the grey sky and the wetness of the leaves so it’s also stunning. Plus you don’t have to worry about shadows messing up the pictures.

 Both are just as interesting and vibrant.

 Fall is also my favorite season, which makes it even more fun for me!

 Regardless of the season or circumstance, it was an absolute joy to do a shoot with this beautiful family!

Whoops! 

You gotta love improv-ing leaves as a towel to clean up a little baby mess! ;)
